Zelle was used to scam me.
A scammer used DTE phone number and caller ID name to contact me regarding my light bill. I was ill and was not clear headed when the call came.
Seeing DTE's name and recognizing the phone number, I answered the phone. I was told that my electrical service was going to be disrupted and shut off. Not feeling well, I immediately stated no, my account is up to date, however the caller stated there were a couple of bills that did not go through. Again, because I was not clear headed I followed the scammer's instruction and used Zelle to transfer a total of 998.40, which, I did not owe the light company and I tried to stop the payment but, was unable to do.
The time for the money to go through need to be longer for persons my age will have time to stop the payment if needed. We need Zelle's help with this. It has happened to more than just myself. What will you do to help me in getting my money back?

I was scammed
I was contacted from fakeVerizon wireless stating that I havent been paying my bill and my services will be terminated if the bill was paid THAT day 4/19/2022. Can I mail a check?
No a check would reach us today, what a about Zelle, send the payment that way. My first 175.10 payment sent it said oops didnt go to and submit it again they Fake Verizon still didnt get it, but I came out of my account along with 2 other payment a total of 4 payment. Being investigated by my Bank Institution. Also contacted Verizon Fraud, and have to return to Police Department with information from my Bank.
